Infographic: China’s rail on track for big things

The 2021 Spring Festival travel season will begin on January 28 and end on March 8. During the 40 days, China’s national railways are expected to carry 407 million passenger trips, with an average of 10.18 million passenger trips per day.

China built its first railway in 1905. Now, 116 years later the country has a giant railway network with the world’s longest high-speed railway network and second longest in total operating mileage.
