A passenger plane of Indonesia’s Sriwijaya Air carrying dozens of people crashed into waters off Jakarta on Saturday.

Human body parts and debris of the plane were found, Captain EKo Surya Hadi, commander of Trisula coast guard ship, told a local TV.

The Boeing 737-500 plane, which was flying to Pontianak city in West Kalimantan province, crashed shortly after taking off from the Soekarno-Hatta international airport in Jakarta, Surya said.

“We found body parts, life jackets, avtur (aviation turbine fuel) and debris of the plane,” he told the local TV.
