Cabinet decides to dissolve parliament

This morning’s cabinet meeting has decided to dissolve the parliament. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has gone to the President’s Office to endorse the cabinet decision.

Earlier to the cabinet decision, Oli had held a meeting with Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda and asked him to drop his document presented against Oli in the party.

Prachanda had denied to take back his document.

Again, Prachanda is in Baluatar to stop the decision of dissolving the parliament. If Prachanda will become ready to take back his document from the party standing committee, the parliament can be saved.

Also, will the President follow the government’s recommendation, it is a question.

There is strong opposition from different leaders against the government decision of reshuffling the parliament.

They have remarked that dissolve of the parliament is unconstitutional as there is no provision of dissolving the parliament by the PM.
