Use of Gorkha soldiers against China is a betrayal of friendship: Phanindra Nepal

India has recently deployed its subordinate Gorkha army in Ladakh to use against Nepal’s close ally China. The Greater Nepal Nationalist Front (GNNF) has issued a press release on September 6, 2020 stating that India is trying to play a frightening game to destroy the Nepal-China relations by mobilizing about 4,000 Gorkha soldiers of Development Battalion, 3-9 GR and 4-1 GR.

Press Release of the Greater Nepal Nationalist Front on the issue that the Government of Nepal should immediately terminate the Tripartite Agreement on Gorkha Recruitment as India is seen using Gorkha troops against China:

The Greater Nepal Nationalist Front has drawn serious attention to the issue of India’s recent deployment of its subordinate Gorkha army in Ladakh to use against Nepal’s close friend China. India seems to be trying to play a frightening game to destroy the relations between Nepal-China by mobilizing about 4,000 Gorkha soldiers of the Development Battalion, 3-9 GR and 4-1 GR.

This ironic war that Nepal has to fight on behalf of India against China, Nepal’s closest friend, will force Nepal to become China’s enemy, so the Greater Nepal Nationalist Front urges the Government of Nepal to cancel immediately the November 9, 1947 Tripartite Agreement on Gorkha Recruitment and issue an order for the Nepali youth working there to return to Nepal with arms. If the Gorkha recruitment agreement is not canceled immediately, in case of an unexpected war evoked between China and India, Nepal will be forced to join with India in the war against China. Therefore, before the situation escalates, Nepal must take effective precautions and that is to cancel the Gorkha recruitment agreement, the Front believed strongly that as written in the statement signed by the Chairman of the Greater Nepal Nationalist Front, Phanindra Nepal.
