Candidate wins to the post of Province Assembly member

Kathmandu, 1 December: Nepal Communist Party has lost the by-election for province assembly member in Bhaktapur No. 1 Ka. NC candidate Krishnalal Bhadel has won the by election with 13,449 votes against his nearest rival DP Dhakal, NCP candidate.

Dhakal bagged 11,206 votes. In the province assembly election in the past, NCP’s late Harisharan Lamichhane had won the election. In by-election in Kaski to the post of member of the federal parliament, Bidhya Bhattarai, widow of the then sitting minister Rabindra Adhikari, of the NCP is leading. Her closest rival NC candidate Khem Raj Poudel is behind with a difference of six thousand votes. People’s News Monitoring Service.
