Students demonstrate in fornt of Indian Embassy, police use force and arrest some

Police have used force to contain a protest carried out by Nepali Congress student wing,  the Nepal Students Union, outside the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. They have also arrested some demonstrators. The students loyal to the opposition party had gone outside the embassy carrying the national flag, black flags, black banners and placards, protesting the recently published political map of India, which allegedly shows the Nepali land of Kalapani as a part of India. During the demonstration, the cadres flew a black banner that shows the map of Nepal including Kalapani. The banner also has a text, “Look Modi! This is our map.”Later, police arrested the demonstrators to end the protest. Police used force to capture them. In the meanwhile, the Nepal Student Union has condemned the arrest and demanded immediate release of the detainees.
