UK to grant Huawei 5G network access

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is poised to grant Huawei access to the UK’s 5G network, according to the Sunday Times.

Senior British government and security sources say the government is moving toward a decision that will have Huawei granted access to the “non-contentious” parts of the future network, according to the newspaper.

In April, Former British Prime Minister Theresa May gave Huawei the green light to help build Britain’s new 5G network, the Daily Telegraph reported.

British mobile operators EE and Vodafone are already providing 5G network services via Huawei devices.
