The inaugural Qingdao Multinationals Summit has wrapped up in east China’s coastal city of Qingdao.
The two-day event, with the theme “Multinationals and China,” gathered chairmen and vice-presidents of global multinational companies from 35 countries and regions to discuss how to strengthen cooperation.
Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Shandong provincial government, the event was attended by nearly 38,000 delegates from various industries over the weekend.
The summit included a series of activities such as closed-door meetings, parallel forums, multinational corporation road shows, promotion events and exhibition.
Officials said that Qingdao will become the permanent host city of the Multinationals Summit, and it will be held on the third weekend of October every year.
