India has become positive on exporting Nepal’s electricity to Bangladesh. Bangladesh has desired to purchase nine thousand MW electricity from Nepal. Indian soil should be used and also infrastructure should be constructed to export electricity to Bangladesh.
To hold necessary talks on this, Indian External Affairs Ministry has decided to hold tripartite meeting of the energy secretaries of the three countries, Nepal, India and Bangladesh, reports Gorkhapatra daily.
At the Nepal-India energy secretary meeting held in Bangalore, India concluded on Tuesday, India has decided to hold such a meeting within three months.
