A Shanghai animal park will launch China’s first night zoo this month, allowing visitors to see the activities of nocturnal animals at the zoo.
The Shanghai Wild Animal Park will open its door to night visitors on August 8th.
Visitors will be able to observe the original life of various animals at night, according to zoo officials. They say animals like tigers, lions, raccoons and ant bears are nocturnal species. They usually sleep during the day and take exercise and look for food at night, therefore, the night zoo will present visitors a different view from what they see at zoo in the daytime.
Wildlife on water is one of the main highlights of the night zoo. Visitors will go on boat rides, giving them the opportunity to see animals such as swans and capybaras.
There will also be animal performances.
