Namchi 7th July:The Honourable Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang(Golay) launched the statewide programme ‘A Day For Mother Earth’ at Kitchu Dumra today. This program is being organized under the aegis of Forests, Environment and Wildlife Management Department and aims to conserve and promote our environment. The Chief Minister also planted Peepal (Ficus religiosa) sapling at the premises. Present during the programme were Deputy Speaker SLA Mr. Sangay Lepcha, State Forests Minister Mr. Karma Loday Bhutia, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary, PCCF cum Principal Secretary Forests, HODs, Panchayats and public at large.
