In a bid to further cement military relations with China, Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa will be leaving for the northern neighbour on July 16.
This will be his first visit to the northern neighbour since he assumed the post of army chief.
According to Nepal Army (NA), he is visiting China at the formal invitation of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. His eight-member delegation comprises his spouse Deepa Thapa and Adjutant Major General Ananta Karki.
During his stay in China, the Army Chief will visit several military structures and historic sites there and will also hold high-level meetings.
