China Media Group inks a deal with Russia’s SPB TV

China Media Group has signed a cooperation agreement with the Russian media outlet SPB TV.

The signing of the agreement was witnessed by China’s President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. It will see the two organizations work together on broadcasting in Russia the English and Russian language channels of CGTN, and the Chinese language channel CCTV 4.

The deal comes as China and Russia celebrate the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, and is expected to promote closer collaboration between media organizations in the two countries.
