How much the country benefited from Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s recent visit to Vietnam and Cambodia, we don’t know. However, President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s recent China visit was a milestone and a historical breakthrough as India locked Nepal got access to the Chinese sea-ports to trade with other third world countries.
Without evaluating the importance of such visits, PM Oli is planning to visit three European countries Switzerland, France and the United Kingdom. Oli is leaving in the first week of June for his European sojourn.
Was it important to visit these countries by spending Nepali tax-payers’ money, it is a burning question.
Specially, Oli is visiting London at a time when British Prime Minister Theresa May has already announced her resignation and the British parliament is going to elect a new prime minister. Again is this a proper time for Oli to visit London?
