Iran FM to visit Pakistan to discuss bilateral ties

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Pakistan on Thursday for talks on diverse topics of mutual interest, Tehran Times daily reported Wednesday.

Zarif is scheduled to meet his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other senior Pakistani officials to discuss Tehran-Islamabad ties and the latest regional and international developments.

His visit will also focus on the plans to implement recent agreements reached between the two countries.

In April, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Iran, when both sides agreed to use their capacity to step up necessary measures to maximize monetary, financial, and commercial cooperation.
