Apple CEO speaks highly of Forbidden City apps during Beijing visit

Apple CEO Tim Cook spoke highly of the apps for the Forbidden City during a visit there on Friday, reports Chinanews.com.

Tim Cook said the apps developed for the Forbidden City were a good way for people visiting from around the world to learn about the old imperial palace, and to better understand China’s history. And he expressed his thanks to Shan Jixiang, the president of the Forbidden City, for his wonderful visit.

Tim Cook also took to Weibo to say that it’s remarkable to see so many cutting-edge apps for the 600-year old Forbidden City.

During his visit to Beijing, the Apple CEO also visited Hongen Education to see some of the company’s augmented-reality applications. He also made stops in Apple stores in the city.
