Sixty firefighting robots delivered to authorities in Fujian

Sixty firefighting robots were handed over to local authorities in the city of Ningde in southeast China’s Fujian Province on Wednesday, reports Chinanews.com.

The robots were developed by Kaicheng Intelligence, a subsidiary of CITIC Heavy industries. The robots were manufactured at the company’s factory in Ningde, which is set to produce more than 10 different types of fire-fighting robots.

A drill was held at the handover ceremony to demonstrate the firefighting abilities of the robots, which can detect fires, extract smoke, and spray water and fire-suppressing foam.
