Kathmandu : Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa announced that he is traveling to the Madhes region to help unite the country and strengthen ties between Kathmandu and the plains. In a video message released on Tuesday, he said he wants to share Kathmandu’s stories with Madhes and bring Madhes’ voices back to the capital.
Thapa stated that he aims to deepen his connection with the region, understand local problems, and address the hardships faced by its people. Though originally from the hills and raised in Kathmandu, he emphasized the need to respond to the concerns of Madhes as well.
He also expressed gratitude to voters of Kathmandu Constituency No. 4, saying their support helped him reach his current position, and added that he was beginning his journey to Sarlahi with their good wishes.
