Kathmandu : The Gen Z group led by Mirage Dhungana has announced that it will launch a nationwide “Joint Gen Z” movement starting tomorrow. Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, the Gen Z group announced that a joint Gen Z movement would be carried out on Monday with a plan to bring together all Gen Z activists on the streets, as well as the injured and the families of martyrs. Along with the group led by Dhungana, more than 30 other Gen Z groups will also participate in the movement.
Gen Z activist Dhungana stated that the movement will remain peaceful. According to him, the movement will begin at Maitighar at 11 a.m. “The movement will be carried out in a peaceful manner. The government must take responsibility for security,” he said.
He said that the government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki has failed to understand the essence of the movement and that an alternative to the current government is necessary. He informed that the movement is being prepared with the demand for the formation of an all-party government. According to him, all Gen Z groups have already united for this purpose.
“The objective for which the movement was launched has not been achieved. Elections will not be held under Prime Minister Sushila Karki. Even the political parties do not believe that elections will be conducted under her leadership,” he said. “Earlier, the government did not even have legitimacy. Now, the government no longer has any justification either.”
