Kathmandu, April 12<\/strong><\/p>\n

The import of petroleum from the Birgunj customs office has increased significantly. More than Rs. 56.70 billion 63 million worth of petroleum worth Rs.10 lakh 97 thousand 296 kiloliters was imported in the same time of the current fiscal year.<\/p>\n

9 lakh 41 thousand 557 kiloliters of diesel, petrol, kerosene, aviation fuel, and one lakh 66
\nthousand 797 metric tons of cooking LPG gas worth Rs. 56.44 billion were delivered. 2 million 38 thousand 853 kiloliters of fuel and 1 lakh 87 thousand 456 metric tons of gas worth Rs.113.14 billion tons of gas were imported, according to the office.<\/p>\n

Fuel was imported 116.54 percent more than in the previous year’s corresponding period, compared to 100.46 percent more in the review period. Domestic trade and transportation declined last year as a result of the Corona pandemic. According to Sumit Gupta, the office’s information officer, fuel imports have increased since the transition rate has been reduced in the current fiscal year. According to him, the rise in gasoline imports has resulted in a boost in tax collection.<\/p>\n

The import of gasoline for Nepal through Birgunj brought in Rs. 35.83 billion in the last eight months of the current fiscal year. According to the customs agency, 13.72 billion in the previous year’s similar period, or Rs. 49.56 billion, was not collected.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
