The team of the Valley Crime Investigation Office raided the godown. Based on the insights that they were storing illegal products, when the police team came, they raided the godown and discovered several kinds of foreign cigarettes, gutkha, hookah flavors, an oximeter, and firecrackers. According to SP Krishna Koirala, the police team raided the godown after receiving information that illegal products were being stored there and seized one crore rupees’ worth of illegal goods. He said that Chabilal Agasti, the owner of the godown in Prasouni Rural Municipality 1, Parsa, who lives in Kapan, was arrested because the goods were smuggled into the country illegally. In the warehouse storing the abovementioned illegal products, Agasti registered as Sijal & Sujata Tendering Pvt. Ltd. Agasti, who was arrested with illegal products, will be sent to the Revenue Inquiry Department for additional investigation and action, according to Koirala.
Koirala said that a case will be filed against him for the offense related to the Explosive Substances Act, as the recovered goods were also illegal.
