AVIC (Chengdu) UAS Co, producer of the Wing Loong unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange’s sci-tech innovation board, also known as the STAR market on Wednesday, reflecting an acceleration of the marketization process, development, operation and sales of the Wing Loong UAV series.
The company said it will continue to consolidate its technical advantages in UAV equipment systems, and focus on the development of large fixed-wing long-endurance UAVs, according to a release sent to the Global Times.
The Wing Loong series of UAVs ranks second for global UAV market share, and is the main model for China’s military UAV exports, the Securities Times reported on Tuesday.
Set up in August, 2007, AVIC (Chengdu) UAS Co said it remains to focus on large fixed-wing long-endurance UAV systems, and is mainly engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, sales and servicing of UAV systems.
The Wing Loong-1E, the most recent addition to the Wing Loong drone family in China, had its maiden flight in January.
Besides the Wing Loong-1E, the Wing Loong drone family also includes the original Wing Loong-1, the upgraded Wing Loong-1D, the larger Wing Loong-2, and the high-speed Wing Loong-10.
