Kathmandu, June 11
Balendra Sah, the Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, believes that health and
education should be delivered as services rather than items. He remarked this while viewing Chhatrapati Free Hospital’s newly constructed facility and observing the services provided there.
Metropolitan Chief Sah further ordered the hospital to provide free care to the hospital’s helpless, unprivileged, and financially disadvantaged patients. He stated that education and health are the government’s top priorities, and that they should be treated as a service.
The metropolitan mayor Sah stated that the Kathmandu Metropolitan City has showed a strong interest in health and sanitation, and he promised to work with individuals who come up with innovative plans, recommendations, and proposals in this area. No one is required to return to the hospital without treatment, according to the hospital.
