Congress wins in Dhanauji of Dhanusha district

Kathmandu, May 17

Nepali Congress candidate Jagat Bahadur Bholan has been elected as chairperson in Dhanauji Rural Municipality of Dhanusha district.

Sah won the election with 2,262 votes while his nearest rival Jiveendra Jha of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party of Nepal got 2,163 votes, said Election Officer Poshraj Khanal.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Ramwati has been elected as vice-chairperson. She was elected with 2,430 votes. Ranjita Devi Mandal of LSP Nepal, the nearest rival, got 1,901 votes.
