Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has demanded to provide a supplementary budget for the livelihood of the victims of the armed conflict.
Prachanda has urged Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to provide subsistence allowance to the families of martyrs killed in the decade-long Maoist conflict.
Prachanda drew Deuba’s attention to the injured and disabled people of the armed conflict
(people’s war) at the Baluwatar discussion.
Prachanda asked PM Deuba to revise the procedure for determining and reviewing the
disability percentage, listing the disappeared persons, and distributing identity cards and
honorary certificates to those who have fought to establish republicanism in the country.
Prachanda also urged Prime Minister Deuba to allocate funds from the supplementary budget to the families of martyrs, the people’s movement, the Madhes movement, the Janajati movement, and other movements.
