BJP gets majority in Manipur elections

Kathmandu, March 11

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won a majority in the Manipur Legislative Assembly elections.

The BJP has garnered 32 seats in the 60-member Legislative Assembly, making it eligible to form the next government.

Nongthombam Biren Singh is set to become the Chief Minister of India’s Manipur State,
according to Indian news outlets.
