Kathmandu, March 6
Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Minister for Labor, Employment, and Social Security, has emphasized the need for the Newar community to rise above politics and show unity.
He stressed the importance of avoiding politics for the sake of the Newar community.
“Some Newars are affiliated with the Nepali Congress, some with the CPN (UML), the CPN
(Maoist Center), and still others with the CPN (Unified Socialist). However, Newars must unite for the benefit of their community,” he said.
Referring to his Ministry of Labor, he said that he is engaged in a campaign to end the
distortions and anomalies.
“I have tried to include everyone, without looking for political gains,” he added.
