President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he will not give up a single inch of the land.
Following Russia’s intention to send soldiers to the two rebel territories as separate republics, Ukrainian President Zelensky has stated that he will not relinquish a single square kilometer of his country.
According to international media, Zelensky told the nation on Tuesday morning that he was
unconcerned with the latest Russian maneuver and that he would not hand up to his land to anybody.
Russia’s decision to send soldiers to separatist-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk to recognize them as sovereign republics, according to Jelensky, will stymie peace talks. He did, however, emphasize that they are devoted to peace and diplomacy.
In a televised address, Zelensky asked for an emergency meeting of Ukraine’s, Russia’s,
Germany’s, and France’s leaders.
For the past eight years, fighting has raged in Eastern Europe between government forces and Russian-backed rebels. Efforts are being made to peacefully and diplomatically resolve the ongoing situation between Russia and Ukraine, with some warning that the conflict might escalate into a European war.
