American military intervention in Venezuela : serious challenge

Last week, January 3rd at midnight the US military launched an airborne attack via 150 ships over Venezuela, a sovereign state and member of the United Nations, and filed suit in US court on charges of kidnapping family members including Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cecilia Flores in the middle of the night.

The imperialist US has acted as a military intervention for the nefarious purpose of seizing natural resource resources, including Venezuelan oil, and the obsession to form a puppet government there. This kind of brutal interference by America has led to steep violations and interventions over sovereign countries that are contrary to UN Charter, principles of Panchashil and international law and human rights.

The US has become the super power of world imperialism.America sought to expand imperialist activity
NATO has formed a military alliance.World imperialism refers to the tendency of powerful nations to maintain economic, political, military and cultural dominance over weaker or developing countries. It serves to establish economic dominance by taking control over natural resources, raw materials and markets in weak countries. This has furthered exploitation through multinational companies
Indirect or direct interference with the government, policy and governance system of a weaker country by increasing political intervention. In such countries it serves to establish puppet governments, soldiers base using military power.Alongside this it maintains Neo-colonial control through loans, aid and contracts with conditions.Under this it weakens local culture which imposes its language, culture, education and way of life.Capitalist Neo-liberalism serves to spread political or economic ideology in order to maintain ideological dominance.

World imperialism works to control oil, minerals, forests, water resources and so on while exploiting natural resources.Similarly from international organizations such as the world bank and IMF controls through credit and financial aid.The weak country is served by a trade imbalance deal or one that will result in losses.
To provoke war or to intervene in the country for their own interests, military intervention , creating political instability.
This is how imperialism has increased inequality, exploitation and conflict in the world. It has brought about freedom, self-determination and empowerment of weak nations.

The United States has so far invaded dozens of different countries by assisting in military interventions, invasions and military operations.Mexico ,Cuba,Philippines,China during the 19th century
has taken military action in Japan. In the 20th century,Latin America,
,Dominican, Guatemala, Republic grenada,
Panama, Nicaragua, Haiti, Chile, El Salvador, Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq,
Kuwait,Libya,Africa,Somalia,Libia,Congo,
Again Afghanistan,Iraq ,Syria,Libya,Yam and
Pakistan (drone attack),Somalia,Niger
Malkosovo Serbia,Bosnia,Ukraine has been invaded. The US spends $1 trillion more by spending on soldiers, weapons and other things. It has mobilized 200 thousand troops in 700 military units to increase its military influence in 180 countries of the world.

Every country should be a sovereign state. The United Nations Charter outlines basic objectives and principles for the protection of universality by member states, including the independence (universality) of countries all members are legally equal no matter how small or powerful they may be.No interference shall be allowed in any country’s freedom, borders and internal affairs.

War, aggression or force shall not be used in international relations.Disputes between countries should be resolved through negotiation, mediation, judicial measures etc.All races and nations of the country will have the right to decide their own political, economic and social future and respect human rights without discrimination of race , sex, language, religion etc.To maintain world peace collective efforts and cooperation are required by member states while advancing cooperation in economic, social, cultural, educational and humanitarian spheres
The responsibilities under the Charter are to be carried out in good faith. Thus as stated above, the United Nations Charter considers freedom of countries, equality, peace, human rights and mutual cooperation as a basis for international relations.
The attack that the US has made on Venezuela now, it is a direct interference with sovereignty, freedom and democracy. After kidnapping President Madurai, the US also formed a special task force to intervene internally in Venezuela.

At this time there has been a worldwide protest against the US military intervention in Venezuela, UN Secretary General Guteres expressed deep concern over recent events in Venezuela which have led to today’s United States military action.Whatever the situation in Venezuela, these developments set a dangerous precedent. The Secretary General stressed on importance of full respect for international law including UN Charter. He is deeply concerned that it does not respect rules of international laws.Gueres called upon all parties to engage in an inclusive dialogue in accordance with human rights and international law.

The 15th member United Nations Security Council called an emergency meeting on the U.S. to discused with council members condemning the United States, including China, Colombia, Russia, as well as Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Iran, the Nonaligned Movement and a group of friends defending the UN charter.

Venezuela began a democratic system after the end of military rule in 1958.Venezuelan politics entered a new phase when Hugo Chavez became president in 109, he introduced policies based on socialist ideology under the name of the Bolivarian Revolution, nationalized oil industry and increased state control.Government programs in education, health and housing for poor people were expanded. This led to America.Chavez’s actions in Venezuela was the beginning of the confrontation that followed as it went against US interests.

Nicolas Maduro became president in 2013 after the death of Hugo Chavez.Chavez continued with his economic policies that he had put forward since his reign began. But these policies were not tolerated by America.

The dispute between the U.S. and Venezuela is mainly about the year 2013
After 1999200, when Hugo Chavez became president of Venezuela
US-Venezuela relations deteriorated sharply after the failed coup attempt in 2002, which was supported indirectly by the United States. and this is where the controversy started
The ideological clash seems to have begun after Hugo Chavez and later Nicolas Maduro adopted socialist policies, nationalizing oil companies that had American dominance in Venezuela before colliding with America’s capitalist policy.
Chavez openly adopted anti-American rhetoric and policy.
The interests of American companies were affected when the government nationalized the oil industry.

The US accused Venezuela of undermining democracy, rigging elections and violating human rights.
In response, Venezuela accused the United States of interfering in its internal affairs. and after 2015 the US imposed economic and political sanctions on Venezuela.
This made Venezuela’s economy even weaker and the relationship more strained. In 2019 Presidential election Nicholas Maduro elected but America recognized the opposition leader Huan Gwydolai enterim President .
In this way the US vs. Venezuela dispute arose from political ideology, oil, power and influence, and allegations of domestic interference, which became very deep after 2000. US economic sanctions have led to an economic crisis in glorious country Venezuela.

Socialist China has long been linked to Venezuela in oil and financial partnership.China has made huge loans and oil deals, which have helped the government provide a source of revenue and income.Similarly Russia has been supporting Venezuela economically and politically, especially in the oil sector and bilateral support through loan/ financial aid.Countries like Turkey and Cuba also maintain some forms of strategic advice, economic relations and cooperation.
Thus China,Russia,Turkey ,Cuba and Venezuela in the wake of economic blockade and crisis initiated by US after he continued with socialist economic policy that Hugo Chavez started in Venezuela.

America’s Security Strategy – 2025 also adopted the policy of America First, a security strategy that has given the world more competition than cooperation, as well as co-operation with China and Russia as countervailing forces. The United States is challenged by China and Russia for this reason it has adopted a security strategy to strengthen its troops and fight against socialist influence.

The most sensitive issue for Venezuela at this time is sovereignty, the basic principle of international law that any country has the right to determine its political order, government and policy.American economic sanctions on Venezuela, recognition of opposition and economic pressure have interfered with his sovereign rights.
However sovereignty is not just a right, it’s also a responsibility. The state must ensure its citizens basic rights, standard of living and political participation.

A long term solution to the US-Venezuela dispute does not seem possible with military or unilateral pressure, it must be multifaceted and diplomatic. It requires political dialogue and inclusive process.Sustainability is not possible without a fair dialogue between government and opposition.Likewise, economic life should be normalized by lifting economic sanctions on the United States. The excessive restrictions have affected more ordinary citizens than governments. This needs regional support, especially immigration and humanitarian crisis solutions.

The United Nations must play a central role in the dispute, with the UN playing the role of neutral arbitrator. The UN Human Rights Council must rise above political indifference and fairly monitor human rights conditions. And other UN bodies have to conduct programs that assist Venezuela’s economic reconstruction and humanitarian assistance.
A similar Security Council should create an environment that prevents military intervention and prioritizes dialogue. This preserves international peace and security.

The US vs Venezuela dispute is not just a power struggle between two countries, it’s an examination of sovereignty, democracy, human rights and the international order. The current developments have shown that there is potential towards pragmatic dialogue rather than confrontation, but permanent solutions are still far away.
Problem solving for sovereign Venezuela is possible through a combination of international cooperation and solidarity , domestic political reform and international co-operation.In this process the United Nations and others.

Nepal is also under geopolitical pressure due to being a neighbouring country.Promoting activities in Nepal through MCC project, publication of the report that Nepal is a member of SPP and Indo-Pacific Strategy ,the recent youth student movement saw people wearing t shirts called American Youth Volunteer Group,Barbara Foundation and Tibetian group, congratulations by Dallai Lama on Prime Minister Susila Karki to Tibetan exiled leader etc.Nepal remains committed to one China policy. They do not allow anti-China activity to happen in Nepal.
