The Greater Nepal Nationalist Front has paid tribute to Chinese revolutionary leader Mao Zedong on the occasion of his birth anniversary, recalling his contributions to the Chinese people and the establishment of modern China.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Chairman Phanindra Nepal said Mao Zedong is remembered for dedicating his entire life to the welfare of the people and for laying a solid foundation for China’s national unity and territorial integrity. He highlighted Mao’s role as Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party in founding the People’s Republic of China, which he said brought long-term political stability to the nation.
The statement also noted Mao Zedong’s historical relationship with Nepal, describing him as a close friend of Nepal’s former King Mahendra and a well-wisher of the Nepali people.
Marking the anniversary, the Greater Nepal Nationalist Front extended heartfelt goodwill to the Chinese people, the Government of China, and all members of the Chinese Communist Party.
The message underscores the Front’s recognition of Mao Zedong’s historical legacy and Nepal–China relations rooted in mutual respect and friendship.
