13th Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Awards

Kathmandu, June 26 :

The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized the 13th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Award Ceremony today at the Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu. The event honored 195 meritorious Nepali students from 102 schools across Nepal with scholarships, selected by their respective school principals. A laptop was also awarded to one outstanding student for his consistent academic excellence.

 

Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Nepal Family Party, was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. In his address, he commended Pakistan’s continuous support in the field of education, terming it a symbol of the strong and friendly relations between Nepal and Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering a shared vision among the youth of both nations and called for greater collaboration in other sectors as well.

 

Ambassador Abrar H. Hashmi, in his remarks, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening educational ties and announced plans to expand the scholarship program to include Higher Secondary students in the future. He described the event as a celebration of student success and a reflection of shared responsibility in nurturing young talent. He also emphasized that encouraging Nepali youth in academics, sports, and social activities remains a key part of Pakistan-Nepal bilateral cooperation.

 

The Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Programme, launched in 2013, has grown steadily in scale and popularity among Nepali students and continues to contribute meaningfully to educational development and people-to-people ties between the two nations.

Today, 13th Ambassador of Pakistan Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony was organized by Pakistan Embassy, Kathmandu at Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu. Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal, Member Parliament and Chairman, Nepal Family Party was the Chief Guest. He distributed “Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships” to deserving Nepali students. The scholarships are awarded to the most deserving and bright Nepali students selected by the respective Principals of Schools from across Nepal. This year 195 students from 102 schools were awarded the scholarships. A laptop was also presented to a brilliant student for his consistent good performance in studies.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal lauded Pakistan for its continued technical support, especially in the field of education. This, he said, was a reflection of the close friendly ties between Pakistan and Nepal. He expressed hope that Pakistan’s support would go a long way in reminding the youth of the two countries about shared vision. He stressed the need for enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries in other areas as well.

Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi, in his remarks, said that Pakistan would continue its endeavour of scholarship programme and expanding the cooperation at all levels of education, including Higher Secondary students in Nepal. He said that today’s event was celebration of success of the students and a reflection of it being shared responsibility. Ambassador Hashmi highlighted that to encourage Nepali youth in the fields of studies, sports and healthy social activities is a vital part of our bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Programme has been regularly held since 2013, which is growing and becoming popular among Nepali youth over the years.
